Hey Warhawk football fans – it is time to get on-board!
The first Quarterback Club meeting of the season will be held tonight (Wednesday) at Saxes’ Lone Star Inn located just two miles west of Whitewater on Highway 12.
The meetings have been shifted to Wednesday night’s this season primarily due to the fact that the Badgers open the 2011 season this Thursday night (September 1) vs. UNLV at Camp Randall Stadium.
Then – next Thursday night (September 8) - the defending Super Bowl Champion Green Bay Packers and New Orleans Saints will kick-off the NFL season in a showdown at Lambeau Field.
Now that you have the reason for the shift to Wednesday night QB Club meetings at Saxes’ Lone Star Inn, let me tell you why QB Club meetings will give you the “inside” information that non-QB Club members just don’t get.
Quarterback Club at Saxes Lone Star Inn will begin each Wednesday evening during the season with a “social” at 6:00. The actual meeting will begin this year at 6:45 with the coaches’ comments from the previous week’s game and introduction of players.
Dinner will then be served (approximately 7:00). Following dinner the players will be dismissed. QB Club members will then receive a preview of the upcoming game from members of the UWW coaching staff.
Once again The first 2011 Quarterback Club meeting is set for tonight (Wednesday, August 31) at Saxes Lone Star Inn. Hope to see you there!
