Misialek home from Japan primed for his senior season on the Warhawk offensive line

For Alex Misialek the focus has returned from his second semester of study in Japan earlier this year to that of being a student-athlete at UW-Whitewater and his senior season as an offensive lineman on the UW-Whitewater football team.

Misialek attended Kansai Gaidai University, located in Hirakata, Japan, just south of Osaka, Japan in the southern part of the country. During his time in the Orient Alex studied the language, the culture and the business practices of the Japanese.

The Crystal Lake, Illinois native kept those “back home” informed on life in Japan by way of posting on his own blog.

Misialek kept us all informed on the tragic earthquake and tsunami that devastated northern Japan on March 11th.

Barry Bottino writes a weekly column in the Northwest Herald in Northwest suburban Chicago. His July 27th column featured Alex Misialek and his thoughts back to his spring semester in Japan and his mindset heading into his senior year on the UW-Whitewater football team’s offensive line.
