Why the poor attendance in the playoffs? Voice your opinion on this week's poll question

Here is your chance to voice in on why UW-Whitewater and many other Division III schools have trouble drawing big crowds during the Division III Playoffs each year.

Only 1468 showed up at Perkins Stadium for Saturday's 1st Round playof win over Franklin College. When looking at the visiting stands, nearly as many Franklin fans made the drive from the Indianapolis area to Whitewater as Whitewater fans did in making the short trek to the Perk.

Voice your opinion my checking out this week's poll question (What is the reason for the poor attendance at Perkins Stadium for the Hawks 1st Round playoff game vs. Franklin College)

The poll is located on the upper right section of the blog.

  1. The fans here are just so spoiled. It's like UConn women's basketball, who set a ten year low in attendance last year, becuase (not in spite of) the fact they were coming of an undefeated year where no one was within ten points-and it wasn't the first time UConn was good. Many times have 'fair weathered fans'-guess we have the opposite problem.

  2. Hunting, weather and holiday season all play parts. The Badgers were advertising Northwestern tickets as recently as last week for a game that has huge implications.

  3. Yeah, I fear that the attendance this week will be poor too, because so many students will just stay home for thanksging break, plus the Badger's HUGE game
