The Franklin College Grizzlies own the No. 1 ranked scoring offense in the nation accordint to NCAA Division III national statistics released Tuesday.

The Grizzlies run out of the "spread" offense and do it very well.

Franklin is averaging 48.1 points per game while Whitewater is ranked 10th at 42.8 points per game.

The Grizzlies rank seventh in the country in "pass offense" (316 yards per game)

Franklin is seventh nationally in "total offense) at 485.5 yards per game. Whitewater ranks fifth at 512 yards per game during the regular season.

Both Franklin and UWW rank high in "scoring defense." The Grizzlies rank 14th giving up 11.8 points per game. Whitewater ranks fourth at 8.7 points per game defensively.

Franklin ranks fourth in the country in "pass efficency defense" by giving up 1684 yards and 6 touchdowns while intercepting 23 passes. The Warhawks rank 47th giving up 8 touchdowns while intercepting 8 passes.

The absolute "cardinal rule" in the playoffs is to understand that that any of the 32 Division III playoff participants are capable of beating any of the other teams on the "road to Salem."

The Warhawk's 1st Round game on Saturday shapes up to be a very intreguing matchup.

Kickoff is set for 12-Noon at the Perk.
