Reader's Poll: What Kept Warhawk Fans From Attending Last Week's Playoff Game

We are set for another NCAA Division III playoff game to be played in low to mid-30 degree weather Saturday at Perkins Stadium. Only 1,468 turned out for last Saturday's Warhawk win over Franklin College. During the regular season, UW-Whitewater drew a school-record average 7,900 fans to Perkins Stadium per game.

A Voices Eye on Football Blogspot Reader's Poll this week asked the question: What is the reason for the poor attendance at Perkins Stadium for the Warhawks playoff game vs. Franklin College?

Here are the final results of the poll

1. Deer Hunting (54%)
2. Too Cold (28%)
3. Increased cost of tickets including students (25%)
4. Why go because the Hawks will win anyway (19%)
5. Not interested after the regular season (3%)
6. Over saturation of live media coverage of game (3%)

Check out the adjacent photo of Warhawk fans (students included) who were at Perkins Stadium for a 2005 playoff game vs. Wesley.

Bundle up, join your friends for some Warhawk style pregame tailgating followed by rooting the Hawks on to a 2nd round playoff win over a very good Trine University team.

GO HAWKS
