Natonal Player of Year mural greets fans into Perkins Stadium

The UW-Whitewater football team will open the home portion of its 2011 schedule Saturday by hosting Campbellsville University (Kentucky) in a 12-Noon kickoff at Perkins Stadium.

Fans entering the Perk Saturday will notice a large mural located on the far south side of the home stands. The mural portrays the four UW-Whitewater athletes that have been named NCAA Division III Athletes of the Year in their respective sports.

A special pregame ceremony will be held prior to Saturday’s game. The seniors from last year’s National Championship team will be back at the Perk. They will be introduced followed by the the 2010 NCAA Division III championship flag being raised and the 2010 logo being unveiled atop the giant UW-Whitewater mural located on the face of the building in the south end zone.
