Hello everybody - I'm back after taking a bye-week four-day blogging and Website posting break.
The Warhawks have Saturday off prior to opening the 2010 Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference portion of the schedule with a rare Thursday night game next week at UW-Platteville.
The bye week couldn't have come at a better time for Coach Leipold's club. The Hawks travelled to Campbellsville, Kentucky last weekend for the season's longest reguar season road trip. Whitewater brought a 37-7 victory back to cheese country.
U-Dub-Dub will take a 3 & 0 record into the September 30th WIAC opener.
The WIAC season gets underway for two teams Saturday afternoon:
UW-Oshkosh at UW-River Falls
#17 UW-Eau Claire at #9 North Central (IL)
UW-La Crosse at Missouri Science & Technology
Albion (MI) at UW-Stevens Point
Eau Claire, Platteville, Stout and Whitewater will be idle
