Voice's Week-Four Prognostications


The conference season gets underway today in an abbreviated week-four schedule.

UW-Oshkosh (0-2) @ UW-River Falls (0-3) (2:00 PM)--UW-Oshkosh travels to River Falls for a matchup of two teams that played among the toughest nonconference schedules in the country, Combined, the two teams have played; (No. 2) Mount Union, (No. 4) St. Thomas, (No. 7) Central Iowa, (No. 10) Northern Ohio, (No. 14) Trine, (No. 18) St. Johns, (No. 23) Wheaton (Ill).

The Titans were extremely competitive despite losing to Central Iowa and Mount Union.

Voice’s Pick: Oshkosh 31, River Falls 17
(No. 17) UW-Eau Claire (2-0) at (No. 11) North Central (1:00 P.M.)--An intriguing nonconference matchup between the WIAC and the CCIW. The Blugolds had last week off following its overtime win over St. Johns. Following two lopsided wins on the road, North Central played its home opener today against UWEC. This will be the Blugolds first game on the road in 2010.

Voice’s Pick: North Central (Ill) 24, Eau Claire 21

Albion (Mich) (1-2) @ UW-Stevens Point (1-1) (1 P.M.)--UWSP will be playing its third consecutive home game of the season today against 1 & 2 Albion (Mich) who is on the road for the first time in 2010. The Pointers are coming off of their fi rst win of the season as they defeated Missouri S&T by a score of 29-10 last week at Community Stadium at Goerke Park.

Voice’s Pick: Stevens Point 34, Albion 10

UW-La Crosse (0-2) @ Missouri University of Science & Technology (0-3) (1 P.M.)
--Two teams searching for a first victory in 2010. The Eagles defeated Missouri S & T, 49-0, last year at La Crosse. The Miners dropped a 29-10 decision at Stevens Point last week.

Voice’s Pick: La Crosse 21, Missouri S & T 13

UW-Stout, UW-Platteville, and UW-Whitewater are idle today
